John Gilmour
John is a registered nurse with real-life emergency experience who founded Lifeline Ambulance CIC to bring essential first aid training and community care to the people of Greater Manchester.
A proud recipient of the 2025 Winners in First Aid Delivery award, John leads a team of qualified nursing professionals and dedicated volunteers who share his vision of a safer, more caring community.
From teaching life-saving first aid skills to providing patient transport and donating defibrillators to local venues — every service we offer is driven by purpose, not profit.
Rooted in the
Community
Lifeline Ambulance Community is a Community Interest Company (CIC) — which means we are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated entirely to the wellbeing of the people around us.
We are based at Festival Hall on Peel Street in Denton, Greater Manchester, and we serve the surrounding communities across the north west. Our team of dedicated volunteers love to help in any way they can.
We mainly focus on helping vulnerable people access health appointments when other methods of transport aren't available — taking pressure off the NHS North West Ambulance Service while ensuring nobody misses vital care.
